Elton John Has Been Hospitalized

Iconic singer Elton John, famous for hits like “I’m Still Standing” and “Rocket Man,” recently experienced a minor accident at his villa in Nice, France. The 76-year-old artist was taken to the orthopedic center at Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco as a precautionary measure but was released after a short stay and necessary check-ups, and he is now back home in good health.

This incident was confirmed by Elton John’s representative, who stated, “We can confirm that following a slip at his home in the South of France, Elton visited the local hospital for precautionary measures.” They went on to mention that he was discharged the following morning after the checks.

During the summer, Elton John has been residing on the beautiful French Riviera, enjoying quality time with his family, including his husband, David Furnish, and their two children. This period follows the conclusion of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which ended in early July.

Reflecting on his incredible career spanning over five decades, the singer expressed immense gratitude for the continued love and support from his fans. He said, “I’ve had an amazing career, beyond my wildest dreams. Fifty-two years of pure joy making music, and I feel incredibly fortunate.” He recognized the crucial role his fans played in his success, stating, “I wouldn’t be here talking to you today if it weren’t for you. You bought the singles, albums, CDs, cassettes, and most importantly, you bought tickets to the shows, and you know how much I love performing live.”

During his farewell tour, the Grammy-winning artist emphasized how special each night was for him. He mentioned, “Tonight has been magical. I’m trying to process it, and I don’t think it will fully sink in for a while that I’ve finally concluded my touring career.” He spoke warmly about his fans, acknowledging their unwavering support as a humbling experience, and he expressed that the memories “will stay with me forever.”

Although Elton John has bid farewell to touring, it doesn’t mean the end of his musical journey. He mentioned his consideration of releasing new music in the future, although without the exhaustive tours that come with it. He explained, “Touring has become exhausting for me, and it keeps me away from my family and children.”

In related news, earlier this month, Elton John was spotted in St. Tropez, where he mingled with several A-list celebrities. He was also photographed sharing a meal with Kevin Spacey, who was recently acquitted in his sexual assault trial.
