Introducing Eugene Bostick: A Retired Farmer, Rescuer of Homeless Animals, and the Mastermind Behind the Fort Worth โDog Train.โ

Already a local legend, Bostickโs heartwarming story has captured the worldโs attention this week as viral videos showcase his ingenious creation for simultaneously walking nine dogs. โIn this area, people sometimes abandon dogs, leaving them to fend for themselves. So, we stepped in, providing food, shelter, and even veterinary care, including spaying and neutering. We made a haven for them,โ Bostick shared.
While Bostickโs farm offered ample space for the dogs to frolic, it wasnโt long before he realized they might enjoy a change of scenery.
Handling nine dogs on individual walks is no small feat, even for the most skilled pet caregivers.
โAt first, I used my trusty tractor. I rigged up a little trailer and loaded it with four or five dogs, taking them for rides. But then more dogs started arriving, and I thought, โOh boy, this isnโt going to cut it!'โ Thatโs when Bostickโs creative spirit kicked in.
โOne day, I saw this guy using a tractor to haul carts loaded with rocks. It hit meโwhy not a dog train?โ Bostick recalled. โIโm a decent welder, so I grabbed plastic barrels, carved holes in them, added wheels, and linked them together.โ The end result became a sensation among Bostickโs cherished rescue dogs. They reportedly dash toward the approaching tractor and hop into their โtrain carsโ eagerly, without a momentโs hesitation.
