Introducing Eugene Bostick: A Retired Farmer, Rescuer of Homeless Animals, and the Mastermind Behind the Fort Worth “Dog Train.”

Already a local legend, Bostick’s heartwarming story has captured the world’s attention this week as viral videos showcase his ingenious creation for simultaneously walking nine dogs. “In this area, people sometimes abandon dogs, leaving them to fend for themselves. So, we stepped in, providing food, shelter, and even veterinary care, including spaying and neutering. We made a haven for them,” Bostick shared.

While Bostick’s farm offered ample space for the dogs to frolic, it wasn’t long before he realized they might enjoy a change of scenery.

Handling nine dogs on individual walks is no small feat, even for the most skilled pet caregivers.

“At first, I used my trusty tractor. I rigged up a little trailer and loaded it with four or five dogs, taking them for rides. But then more dogs started arriving, and I thought, ‘Oh boy, this isn’t going to cut it!'” That’s when Bostick’s creative spirit kicked in.

“One day, I saw this guy using a tractor to haul carts loaded with rocks. It hit meโ€”why not a dog train?” Bostick recalled. “I’m a decent welder, so I grabbed plastic barrels, carved holes in them, added wheels, and linked them together.” The end result became a sensation among Bostick’s cherished rescue dogs. They reportedly dash toward the approaching tractor and hop into their “train cars” eagerly, without a moment’s hesitation.
