Ricky Gervais’s ‘Armageddon’ Sets a New Stand-Up Comedy Record

British comedian Ricky Gervais has achieved a new Guinness World Record with his stand-up performance in his latest show, “Armageddon.” The show, which has been touring arenas worldwide, set the record for the highest gross for a single stand-up performance, earning an impressive £1,410,000 ($1,790,206.50) during a performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on May 6, 2023.

Ricky Gervais, known for his hit TV shows like “The Office” and “After Life” and his previous stand-up specials on Netflix, has solidified his status as one of Britain’s biggest comedians. His current tour, “Armageddon,” will continue throughout 2023, with upcoming shows in London and Netflix set to air the special after the tour ends.
